Pages for iPad Refresh Makes Sharing Simple

Pages for iPad 1.2 inches closer to being a full-fledged word processor; it now offers a running word count for documents, and supports tables of contents, document sectioning, and footnote and endnote options. Pages for iPad now allows users of the iDisk service on the Apple-hosted Mobile Me service& or another WebDAV service& to copy documents between Pages and the service. Font matching routines have been improved to make the opening of a Pages for Mac OS X or Microsoft Word document more of a seamless process, but the iPad's limited font support remains a sore spot for some users. This release of Pages for iPad adds the ability to group or ungroup objects in a document, and includes several bug fixes, including issues found when importing or exporting Microsoft Word documents. Pages for iPad 1.2 also adds support for opening a .txt document from within the iPad's Mail application, and support for cell-specific options in tables such as image fill, custom borders, and font size and color. - ...
